Another one of our Shers will fly to England post the conclusion of the current VIVO Indian Premier League campaign, with spinner Mujeeb Ur Rahman being announced in the Afghanistan squad for the upcoming ICC World Cup.
Mujeeb will be a part of history, as his country gears up for their first ever appearance in cricket’s showpiece event. The spinner has featured 28 times for Afghanistan in ODIs and is expected to be a key part of his country’s spin trio, that also features Mohammad Nabi and Rashid Khan.
The 18-year-old joins fellow KXIP players KL Rahul, Mohammad Shami and batsman David Miller, who was also picked by the South African team for the ICC Cricket World Cup last week.
