~ The Classroom project is the Punjab Kings sustained initiative as the franchise continues to invest in the future of India ~
 
Mohali, 16th August 2024: The Indian Premier League franchise Punjab Kings, in collaboration with Round Table India, launched a Classroom project at the Government Primary School, Manakpur Sharif, SAS Nagar in Mohali, Punjab on Thursday. Punjab Kings Head of Operations Anant Sarkaria, Anterpreet Singh Sahni, Area Chairman RTI, Tr. Sanyan Tayal, Chairman, Chandigarh United Round Table 270, and Tr. Ritvik Chauhan, Area 18 Vice Chairman, RTI graced the occasion with their presence.
 
As part of the initiative, 3 classrooms will be refurbished and re-constructed with new tables and benches, along with new blackboards. The project will also install computer labs, sports facilities, and equipment, across the schools to provide means of advanced education and also install sanitation facilities for improving the school lives of children.
 
As part of the project, which has been running successfully since 2015, over 34,100 students have been directly impacted.
 
Speaking on the initiative, Punjab Kings CEO Satish Menon said, "We are delighted that our long-standing partnership with Round Table India has been able to provide means of education to them across all regions of the state. We are delighted to continue this collaboration. We are extremely thankful to our partners for providing us with constant support and enabling us to contribute to an important cause."
 
The Round Table India's national project 'Freedom through education' has aimed to provide education to underprivileged children since 1998. Since its inception, the program has built over 7,500 classrooms with over 3100 projects with an investment of over 336 crores.
